Why a Booster Club?

The Girls Soccer Booster Club originated with the intentions of helping support our girls. MHS continues to garner success on the field and it was believed that we could be a foundation of support on many fronts. One, the boosters want to get parents and friends to attend games, secondly we wanted to have some small financial resources to spend on the program and the girls who are putting in so much time and effort.  In just 2 years we have, with great booster and parent support, been able to do things as simple as provide T-shirts for the girls, kick-off a new Alumni Soccer game, create a new and specific website  (www.MontgomeryGirlsSoccer.com ) to making a donation to the American Red Cross for Katrina victims. The Booster Club is currently trying to create a College Scholarship Fund. The list is too long but be assured all the MHS girls soccer players are the focus of the boosters.

The Girls Booster club has also developed a way to blend and grow the harmony between the girls and boys programs with 2 very special annual events.  The Booster club working with the coaches has created for the players, Montgomery’s own version of Midnight Madness, the annual Soccer Marathon.  Then, for the parents, friends, alumni and supporter the Booster Club has crafted a unique evening, the winter Soccer Ball Dinner.  Both these events are fun-filled and continue to grow in attendance.
